Dev/Mission

Description:

Dev/Mission strives to empower and connect young individuals in careers within the tech field. They serve to provide for underserved communities and provide them opportunities through classes related to programming, hardware, and critical career skills. Dev/Mission also serves to connect people in the tech field with Bay Area youth and offer mentorship. Programs include Pre-Apprenticeship, Digital Music Lab, and STEAM Hub.

Community Youth Center (CYC)

Description:

CYC gives opportunities for children, high school youths, and young adults to explore different opportunities through leadership and community engagement programs. CYC Programs educate their participants on social awareness, critical career skills, job opportunities, volunteer opportunities, and many more. All people from different backgrounds are welcome, especially immigrants trying to adapt to new life styles.

Huckleberry Youth

Description:

Huckleberry Youth Programs focuses on at-risk youths to provide them with career training, college access, and educational help. Huckleberry also offers many support systems such as crisis shelters, counseling programs, and mental health help.

Youth UpRising

Description:

Youth UpRising serves to provide East Oakland children with career opportunities, educational support, and job readiness to break barriers within the community. They also have art and music programs to help youth express themselves and create unique pieces.

California Academy of Sciences

Description:

California Academy of Science has STEM programs that provide underserved communities learning opportunities to improve their knowledge on science, technology, engineering, and math fields. They also provide paid internships to learn.

Girls Who Code

Description:

Girls Who Code defies gender stereotypes and tries to close the gender gap within the tech field. They offer girls the opportunity to learn programming and build friendships within a safe environment.

Mayor's Youth Education and Employment Program (MYEEP)

Description:

MYEEP offers high school youth summer employment opportunities and job readiness training.

Youth Art Exachange

Description:

Youth Art Exchange prioritizes low-income and youth of color to express themselves through an art internship. Youth are able to learn about photography, music, illustrations, and fashion through an immersive paid program.
